Spooks everywhere

In Russian the word pravda means truth and izvestia means news. In the Soviet era there was a saying about the two main newspapers: Pravda and Izvestia. The saying went: “There is no news in Pravda and no truth in Izvestia” (в правде нет известий в известиях нет правды). It was and is well-known that in the both east and west some journalists are intelligence agency plants whose function is to disseminate disinformation aimed at achieving a particular objective regardless of whether it is based in truth.

Today in the west newspaper articles and television news programmes are so lacking in credibility discerning people would be forgiven for not being able to distinguish between an item scripted by an agency plant or one by a journalist. Indeed the divide is so narrow it has led people like Craig Murray to call those who produce the news “stenographers” whereas Paul Craig Roberts and a few others call them “presstitutes” presumably because of their willingness to be exploited by MSM pimps. Whatever you may think of them the likes of honest investigative journalists and genuine foreign correspondents like John Pilger, Robert Fisk and Peter Oborne are all but doomed. They are a breed from mainstream media in danger of extinction.

The real news from Syria is getting to us today from doughty truth-seekers like Vanessa Beeley and Eva Bartlett through social media outlets while the mainstream media continues to bombard us with a barrage of lies – not even half-truths. Unfortunately the majority believes this nonsense. This last month and a half has been the worst I can recall since the embedded journalism of the second Gulf War.

On 11 March 2018 the BBC reported that a table at Zizzi’s was so contaminated it had to be destroyed. Remember that this is a crime scene. Additionally, if you believe our media, a cat and two guinea-pigs were left to die from neglect in the Skripal household. This was while police officers were standing outside. Surely they must have heard the plaintive cries of the distressed cat inside through the open windows. Another cat, the one in the photo above, allegedly managed to escape from the house. Cat and guinea-pigs were incinerated. So yet again can be seen wanton destruction of evidence at a crime-scene. What is happening? Apart from the debris after 9/11 since when is evidence at a crime-scene destroyed?

The Times, along with other outlets of MSM, said:

“A spokeswoman for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said: “When a vet was able to access the property, two guinea pigs had sadly died. A cat was found in a distressed state and a decision was taken to euthanise the animal to alleviate its suffering.””

The cat’s carcass was allegedly taken to Porton Down from where no guinea-pig, monkey or cat has ever been known to return.

Notice it is a spokeswoman and a vet – they are not real people. There is nobody for the investigative press to question, if we had an investigative press. Similarly the Prime Minister, Theresa May, has taken military action in Syria on information from “open sources”. We no longer have real people giving intelligence. It is always sources, spokespeople or spooks.

Mainstream media has lied to us throughout the Skripal affair, throughout military action against Syria. They have lied together with our government and our secret services. Their lies will eventually be revealed. We will again be disgraced on the world stage. While there might have been no news in Pravda, and no truth in Izvestia during Soviet times, there is certainly no intelligence in our Intelligence services today.
